Visiting Cheshire Academy
We welcome prospective students and their families to visit our campus!
Normally we host visitors on campus Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:45 AM. However, during this time while campus is closed, we need to adjust these visits so that they are virtual yet give you what you need. Please contact us at email@example.com体育足球比分 or call 203-439-7250 to talk about how we can create an online experience for you.
Once campus reopens, we encourage families to visit our historic campus for Admission events which include open houses, in-classroom visits, and discussion panels with current students and faculty. Visitors are also welcome to attend athletic competitions. Please go to Athletic Schedules for a listing of games.
Below are some tips and guidelines for visiting campus, along with information about the types of visits available for prospective students.
Where to Start Your Visit
Prospective families start their visit in the Admission Office. Visitor parking spaces are located in the parking lot to the right of the building.
GPS address for the Admission Office:
125 Sheriff Drive
Cheshire, CT 06410
You will have a tour with an admission ambassador—a current student at the Academy—followed by an interview with one of our Admissions Officers. Please plan to be on campus for approximately two hours.
How to Prepare for Your Interview
While we call it an “interview,” we think of it as more of a casual conversation. We use this time to get to know each student as an individual. We generally ask questions about the student’s interests, goals, and experiences. Following a conversation with a prospective student, each parent will also have time for questions with an Admission Officer.
Although there are no standard questions, if you would like to prepare for the interview, we encourage you to think deeply about the following topics:
Do you have a subject, hobby, or interest? If so, why do you enjoy that activity? Is there a skill or subject area that you want to get better at? Try to think about specific things you’re excited to learn. For example, instead of just getting better at history, perhaps you want to learn more about the airplanes used in World War I because you are also interested in engineering.
Shadow a Current Student After Your Application is Complete
Students interested in shadowing a current student after they have completed their admissions application are welcome to contact the Admission Office at firstname.lastname@example.org体育足球比分 or call 203-439-7250 to schedule a day.
